Manuk Hergnyan

Manuk co-founded Granatus Ventures in 2013, Armenia's first venture fund, and led the majority of its 35+ investments across two funds, including multiple full or partial exits.

Before venture, he founded EV Consulting, which merged with Civitta International in 2021, and helped Armenian companies raise more than $100M. He has served on the boards of Liqvor Pharmaceuticals, the Microsoft Innovation Center Armenia and the Industrial Development Board of Armenia, and invests personally through Oxford Innovation Finance. He is the kernel of the Supernetwork, with two decades of relationships across the global Armenian community and a standing interest in technologies that reduce human suffering. He holds an Executive MBA from Oxford and a PhD in Economics from Moscow State University.

For many years he lived and worked in Singapore, where he was Managing Partner of Extreme/Upstream Ventures, running two funds and more than twenty companies. As co-founder and former Executive Chairman of Tagit, a digital banking provider across Asia, he brings the founder's view of scaling a company across markets. He co-founded Granatus Ventures and has shared investment decisions with Manuk for thirteen years, linking the platform's US base, its Armenian kernel and a deep Asian network. He holds a BA with Honors in International Relations from Boston University and an MBA from NYU Stern.
